How
to do it ?
1 Carve
pink foam to resemble planking.
2 Tint
Foamcoat to resemble "wood" base.
3 Apply
Foamcoat in several layers to achieve thickness between 1/8" -
1/4".
4 After
applying final layer "comb" Foamcoat to achieve 3-dimensional
wood grain.
5 Let
set slightly.
6 Flatten
highest grain with trowel.

Let dry thoroughly.
8 Carve
ends to simulate large chips and splits.

Paint shutter and
sill to resemble weathered paint finish.

Apply dark shadow
glaze to deepest crevices and edges.
11 Let
dry thoroughly.
12
Sand selected high
spots to reveal "wood" below.
13 Distress
with R. Umber glazes.
14 Touch
up as necessary.
