Seminar Sessions
Materials & Tricks For Flat & Phat Fabulous Foliage
Wednesday 9:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Jen Knott, Rosco's Paint & Coatings Product Manager, chairs an all-star panel of designers and fabricators to discuss tips and techniques for painting and adding dimension to stage foliage and forests. The panel will illustrate how to use fabrics and goop in creative ways – with an eye on budget management.
Projection & Effects Done the Easy Way
Thursday 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Media servers, HD video, and LED curtains step aside. Creating layered projections with gobos is still the most common and successful way to add depth and detail to your stage lighting. Josh Alemany will showcase techniques to utilize the tools already in your theatre to build exciting and creative lighting effects. The effects Josh creates using steel gobos, effects-glass gobos, gobo rotators, custom iPro slides, and animation wheels are amazing, easy to create, and affordable.
New Language Of Color
Thursday 2:45 PM – 4:00 PM
In a new world of lighting, specifying color choices is much more than choosing a gel number from a swatchbook. Whether dialing in CYM values in a moving light, defining palettes on your console, or attempting to match your LED fixture to your PAR 64 with gel in it, Rosco's Color Filter Product Manager, Wendy Luedtke, will de-mystify the science and process of these new languages of color.
At The Stage Expo
Be sure to include a visit to the Rosco booth at the Stage Expo. You can pick up fresh Roscolux and E-Colour swatchbooks, see a fantastic display of how Rosco coatings products can create dimensional foliage effects, and get a first-hand look at the latest products Rosco has to offer. Tech directors and facilities managers will be particularly interested in our new Barrier FR Paint, which will end the anxiety of the Fire Marshall's visit to your theater.
